Purified water, which is purified by filtering it through a chemical reaction, is a key ingredient in Brazil’s sparkling drinks.
But you can get the same purification at a much lower cost if you visit the city of Porto Alegre.
It costs $1.00 a liter, and it is available at pharmacies in many parts of the city.
But for $3.25 a liter you can buy 100 bottles of the product, which has been certified as 100% pure.
The product comes in bottles with an “Essentia” seal, and the bottles contain a special formula that helps the water retain its purity and color.
